About Us

Principal’s Welcome

Grace is a place of transformation. Students learn they are created by God as a unique, unrepeatable miracle. Students discover and develop individual talents, using their strengths to overcome challenges along the way. We are not the same, but we are all valued and loved as members of our Grace family.

Our Students

Our Students

Our student body reflects the world we live in. Visit our campus, and you will see students from all backgrounds, faiths, ethnicities, languages, and abilities. Grace is a welcoming community where students are loved and empowered to move boldly into the future.

Our Educators

Our Educators

Our team of highly qualified, experienced educators blend a nurturing environment with high academic expectations that challenges our students to do more than they believed possible. We meet students where they are and give them the tools to grow into all that they can become. Our classroom educators are licensed in education and many hold advanced degrees.

Our Academic Program

Our Academic Program

Accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA), Grace excels at creating curriculum that engages students and leads to learning. Curriculum is so much more than a textbook! Our teachers use a variety of books, technology, instructional methods, and activities to reach students with different learning styles.

Students gain grit as they work through STEM projects and hands-on activities to challenge thinking and explore ideas. Mistakes become a tool for learning instead of a reason for defeat as students persevere through hard tasks and find the confidence to try new things.

Our Community

Our Community

Students learn citizenship by participating in service learning projects that benefit our local, national, and global community. Partnerships have included organizations such as K9s for Warriors, First Coast News, Wolfson Children’s Hospital and more.

Our Grace Family

Our Grace Family

When parents are involved in education, students succeed. We are committed to building positive relationships not just with our students but with the entire family as well. Along with a robust PTL program, the church, the school we can offer: special programs, family events, and volunteer opportunities bring us together in Christian fellowship and mutual support and care. Together, we truly become the Grace Family.

Our Beliefs

As a Christian school, we believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life and salvation.

As a Lutheran school, we follow the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teachings of Luther can be summarized in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.

Grace Alone

God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

Faith Alone

By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.

Scripture Alone

The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. God’s Word is true, and it is the only basis for Christian doctrine.

Our Mission

Our Mission

The mission of Grace Lutheran School is to partner with parents to equip their children with a strong, Christ-centered faith, preparing them for Christian service, while providing them with an excellent academic program in a disciplined, nurturing environment.

Grace Lutheran School is a place where students will…

  • Learn they are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ
  • Find acceptance, grow in confidence, and build life-long friendships
  • Act with compassion and a servant’s heart
  • Maximize their God given potential through excellence in academics
  • Think deeply and creatively as they actively engage in learning
Nurturing Grace Through Prayer and the Word

Nurturing Grace Through Prayer and the Word

Grace is built on prayer, the solid foundation of God’s Word, and the example of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that parents are the primary educators of their children, and we are here to support you in that process by providing a Christian learning environment where all students can succeed. With Christ as the cornerstone of our educational program, our teachers and staff meet the spiritual, academic, emotional, and physical needs of each child.

Our History

"Since 1998, Grace Lutheran School has faithfully served the East Arlington community by providing Christ-centered education that nurtures students from PreK 4 through 8th grade to grow in wisdom, character, and faith.

Grace Lutheran School opened its doors with a mission to provide quality Christian education in East Arlington, Jacksonville. What started as a collaboration between church leaders and parents quickly became a cherished place for early childhood education—a true “place of Grace.”

Recognizing the impact of Grace’s nurturing environment, the school expanded to include elementary grades. Strong partnerships between parents, staff, and students fostered a thriving school community rooted in faith and academic excellence.

With a commitment to meeting the needs of families seeking Christian-based, academically strong education beyond elementary years, Grace launched its middle school program. In 2008, Grace celebrated its first 8th grade graduating class.

Grace Lutheran School now serves PreK 4 through 8th grade, helping thousands of students grow intellectually, socially, artistically, athletically, and spiritually. Our alumni go on to succeed in rigorous programs like IB, Early College, AICE, and AVID, well-prepared to navigate high school and beyond with confidence and character.

We are proud of our history and passionate about our future. With a continued commitment to excellence, Grace Lutheran School remains a place where Eagles are equipped to soar in every area of life.
